The name is something very important, names transmit primary idea of the object, is like the index save on our minds linking to something. choosing the right name for the project can make the diferense when there are lots of thing around... So Matheus (Bigodines) told me that we can change or edit the name of the project until 26 of April, and my mind are very open to changes. JMultimedia sounds fine but maybe with the help of Joomla community we can find a better name to define this project.

First of all i think your idea is great! I've searched for a component like this for a long time. I would name something like Joomla-tube.
Also, i have a plugin names allvideo's installed on my own joomla site. Maybe you should use that one instead of your own plugin for youtube vids. This because allvideos supports way more website's and extensions.
Do you also add functionality for sounds and pictures ?
