Joomla! Student Application Part 1 - GSoC Project Details
1. Which idea from the Joomla! Student Outreach Program Idea list are you interested in applying for?
Joomla Student Application Part 2 - Student Information1. Describe your past involvement in the Joomla! Project (if any). Note that past project involvement is not required.
2. Do you anticipate continuing to be a contributor to the Joomla! Project at the end of the program?
3. Briefly describe your past involvement in other open source projects (if any).
4. Briefly describe any formal training you have in computer science, engineering or related fields. This description should also include any current training you are enrolled in.
Joomla Student Application Part 3 - Sample of Student Work (Recommended but not required)
1. Please include a sample piece of work for a module or a plugin for the Joomla! CMS.
- This work should be provided as a link to a web page containing a link to a complete module or plugin that is installable with the Joomla! Extension Installer.
- The download page should describe what the module or plugin does and have basic instructions for using the module or plugin.
Requirements for Joomla! Projects that you should consider before applying.
These requirements will be incorporated into acceptance of the student project, the midterm evaluations and final evaluations:
- Students must agree to sign the JCA (Joomla! Contributor Agreement)
- Participants must blog about their work on the joomla.org sites at least once every week. (If you are worried about writing in English, people from the mentoring group will help you with this.)
- Projects must be maintained on JoomlaCode or in a branch in the main Joomla SVN repository although you may maintain a second repository elsewhere if you wish.
- There must be consistent commits of code during the coding period.
- A complete project must include complete documentation.
- A complete project must include appropriate unit and functional tests.
- Code should use Joomla! Project coding standards.
