First time adding a new Tracker Item - please help me if I have done anything incorrectly.

jUpgrade gets stuck at "Checking directories".

Error log:

[Tue Feb 22 02:54:17 2011] [error] [client] File does not exist: /home/web/public_html/500.shtml, referer:
[Tue Feb 22 02:54:17 2011] [error] [client] SoftException in Application.cpp:601: Directory "/home/web/public_html/administrator/components" is writeable by group, referer:

Running jUpgrade 0.5.8 on to migrate from Joomla! 1.5.22 to 1.6. I used Fantastico to install Joomla! 1.5 and then again later to upgrade to 1.5.22 on cPanel 11.25.0-RELEASE. I did have debug on, not sure where to get the dump?

Thanks in advance.

For whatever reason I can't edit this Tracker Item. I also seem to be getting stuck in endless loops logging into, despite clearing my cache.

Please can a mod remove the server admin username embedded in the error log dump? Thanks.

Also, I'm using Mootools 1.2.4, in case that's relevant.

Can you check if in the Firefox Javascript Console are some error?

I checked and there are no Javascript errors.

Please try with version 1.0.0 and tell me if the error persists

Hi Matias. Sorry this is dragging on. I had already tried 1.0.0. when you posted, with the same result. Now I've also tried with 1.1.0, and it gets stuck at the same place (although it now just says "Checking...").

There are no Javascript errors, but the server error log says this:

SoftException in Application.cpp:601: Directory "/home/xxx/public_html/administrator/components" is writeable by group, referer:

Hullo, also a first time report so please advise if incorrect process to post here as foillow up rather than a new item

I am also seeing jUpgrade Version 1.0.1 stuck at Checking directories.

No mention in server logs for jupgrade

Please try to use version 1.0.2 that have better checks and an option to skip the checks
